Vacant & seasonal
Unoccupied, snowbird, second-home, or between-tenants coverage with the right vacancy permit.
Why mobile home insurance is different
- Most standard HO-3 carriers won’t write manufactured homes — you need a specialty market.
- Wind, hail, and named-storm deductibles vary widely by state and zone.
- Tie-downs, skirting, and the HUD tag drive your rate more than you’d think.
- Park residents often need different coverage than land-owners.
- Flood is almost never included — and matters more for low-elevation homes.

Common questions
Will my home qualify if it was built before 1976?
Pre-HUD-code homes (built before June 15, 1976) are harder to insure but not impossible. We work with carriers that specialize in older mobile homes.
Do I need tie-downs to get coverage?
In wind-exposed states, most carriers require tie-downs and may inspect. Skirting and proper anchoring also factor into pricing.
Is flood included?
No. Standard mobile home policies exclude flood. If you’re in a flood zone, you’ll need a separate NFIP or private flood policy. We can help with both.
What if my home is in a park?
Park residents typically need a policy that covers the home itself, contents, and personal liability. The park owner’s policy doesn’t cover your home.
How fast can I get a quote?
The form takes about 3 minutes. A licensed agent typically follows up the same business day with quotes from carriers writing in your area.
